In 2002 I read Jean Baudrillard’s “Simulacra and Simulation” in art school. I never physically painted again, instead focusing on either art that could be easily duplicated, or performance based art. With the exception of drawing, I never stopped drawing. These digital paintings I’ve been doing lately are slowely warming me back up to the idea of doing physical painting again…. No promises though.
